BUCKWORTH PARISH COUNCIL
There were only 4 nominations for Councillors in May so at the July meeting Phil Cooper was co-opted onto the Council. At that meeting Council resolved to adopt the New Code of Conduct from September and that the announcement of it should be done by Cambs Association of Local Councils in the local papers. This joint announcement with other councils will save money. Rules were also agreed for members of the public wishing to speak on matters for consideration by the Council. Next Meeting Monday 3 September 8pm All Saints Church. Meetings after that date will be held in the Cricket Club.

ALL SAINTS CHURCH
The July concert with Amici was once again very successful and enjoyable. Even the weather which had been most un-summery smiled on us and produced a weekend of sunshine. A sincere thank you to all who helped stage the concert and to those who came and supported the event which raised £1875.05 for the Restoration Fund. The final installment of the Historic Churches Trust interest-free loan was paid off after the concert. More restoration work will be done to the Church in the coming months.

I have just realised that the Bugle is 20 years old this year. It was started in the year of the Mediaeval Fayre by Jenny Burrows and picked up shortly after by Hazel Cooper, mainly for Church news. It now covers any item of interest to the village including up dates on Parish Council news. It is delivered or sent electronically to every house in the village.
