PHIL’S INCREDIBLE JOURNEY TO THE GALAPAGOS AND BEYOND……….
Everyone is invited, (you don’t have to be a lady). A light hearted talk with photographs by Phil Cooper on his recent “expedition” to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. See the Enchanted Islands, animals, birds (have you ever seen a blue-footed booby?) that took Darwin’s breath away. Islands that you soon won’t be able to visit if they are to survive.
Find out who Sally Lightfoot is!!
I promise there won’t be a quiz!! (not sure about a raffle though in aid of funds!!) Refreshments will be available.
GREAT COMPOST GIVE-AWAY FRIDAY 6 JUNE 4pm to 7.30pm

AMICI IN CONCERT……FEEL THE SPIRIT SATURDAY 12 JULY 7.30PM, ALL SAINTS CHURCH
HAVE YOU GOT YOUR TICKETS YET?
The usual superb concert, with a delicious buffet super and hopefully a beautiful sunset. Donations/Tickets £16
AN URGENT REQUEST……are you able to find a spare bed for a singer (or two)? This would be for the Saturday night…singers arrive with you about 6.30pm to change, go to concert and then return to sleep. You can either provide breakfast or not. All other meals are provided elsewhere. The singers come mostly from the Manchester area & give their services free of charge. It is too far away to return after the concert and they also sing in Church on the Sunday. Many of the singers have been coming to the village for the past 19 years and have helped to raise a huge amount of money for the Church Restoration Fund.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The Saint George’s Day party was a huge success both as an entertainment and a fund raiser for charity. As you know the proceeds were divided between the Multiple Sclerosis Trust and CHASTE.
The Annual Parish May Day Walk (it didn’t rain!!) was enjoyed by 20 people and 5 dogs. The funds raised £38 were donated to The Children’s Hospice at Milton. The Parish Council made up the sum to £80.
BRITISH TELECOM WANTS TO REMOVE BUCKWORTH TELEPHONE BOX….. NOT USED ENOUGH!!
HOWEVER, TO ME (YOU MAY NOT AGREE!!), IT IS A BUCKWORTH LANDMARK.
THE PARISH COUNCIL HAS TO MAKE COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSAL AND, IF IT WANTS TO KEEP THE BOX, MAKE A GOOD CASE FOR DOING SO!
PLEASE LET THE COUNCIL KNOW WHAT YOU THINK….EITHER FOR KEEPING IT, OR FOR ITS REMOVAL.
Comments are needed by 23 June to me or any member of the Parish Council or by your attendance at the meeting. Tell the Council what you think!
