BUCKWORTH BROWSERS

The next meeting of the Book Club will be held on Weds 7 April 7.30pm in the Cricket Club. Books currently being read are The Historian and the new one received today 11 March is Death Dance by Linda Fairstein (watch out for the Cooper connection!). We have had 2 very good meetings with some interesting and amusing discussions, we hope to have a variety of book types over the coming months (everyone reads at their own speed, there is no pressure to finish a book by a certain date). If you would like further information contact me on 890982 or just come along to the meeting.

BUCKWORTH SOWERS & GROWERS The next meeting of the Gardening Club will be held on 24 March 7.30pm in the Cricket Club. The first meeting was well attended and very interesting with lots of ideas for future meetings. Eventually as the Club grows it is hoped to have speakers on a variety of subjects, visits to gardens as well as the exchanging of ideas, plants and seeds etc. As with the Book Club, if you would like further information just come along to the meeting or contact me. Everyone is very welcome.

The Cricket Club…continues to open at the usual times with some special events planned and advertised. Following after the Book & Gardening Clubs there is a games night. The Annual General Meeting of the Cricket Club is on Weds 24 March at 9pm (following the Gardening Club). You are asked to pay your yearly subscription as soon as possible new members are always welcome. Watch out for a St Georges Day Celebration at the Club in conjunction with the Parish Council.
